In this episode, Catina tells us about her role as a program advisor at the Embark Center for Self-Directed Education, and her former role as a former clarinet tutor. “Being able to work at my passion gave me a sense of self and purpose that was an important part of my life outside and yet integrated with being a mother. It was also extremely important for me that my kids see me working and pursuing my dreams, especially my daughter. I’d like to support and encourage other parents that with a lot of juggling and flexibility, they can work for money or their passions or both. It’s doable in many situations if you think outside the box . . . You can trust your kids; they really want to learn cool things. Kids are cool people with really cool ideas. ”
