My name is Julie, and I’m a homeschooling mother of two. In my “real life,” I am a Career Coach with my own coaching business. I have been a Working while Homeschooling parent right from the beginning of our homeschooling experience eight years ago!
I receive constant requests from other homeschool moms for career tips, job search advice, and help in finding work opportunities. So, I have finally combined my passions for homeschooling, encouraging/supporting women, and for career coaching, here all under one umbrella – Working While Homeschooling.
My mission is to help homeschooling parents
make money and maybe even have a “career,”
while continuing to homeschool,
and without losing their sanity!
A lofty, noble goal indeed, but one
that is very much needed!

The great news is that technology has finally advanced enough and companies have caught up to the concepts of flexible work and telecommuting, and the rise of the gig economy has opened up work opportunities considerably. Online and computerized homeschool classes (not to mention local courses, co-ops, and so on) have opened up the creativity of homeschooling options, allowing for more flexibility in the learning choices of all homeschooling families.
Simply put, Working While Homeschooling is no longer out of reach!
What You Won’t Find Here:
You will notice that we do not discuss MLM party sales companies or blogging (even homeschool blogging) here. These topics are highly oversaturated and covered well elsewhere.
Instead, we focus on jobs “for the rest of us.” Those could be entrepreneur and small business opportunities, those could be freelance and contract-based work, and they could be work-from-home (telecommuting) or on-location (at-an-office-site) positions.
Moreover, while there might be a few (very few) “working and homeschooling” sites and groups out there, none of them are run by a Certified Career Coach with a background and recruiting, that is also a homeschool parent herself!
